Sport Cats

Hey, just joined here after reading a couple of threads, seems like a good bunch of guys.

Looking at buying and fitting a sports cat to my 2006 Exige S. Looked around and the only one that seems good is the Larini, am i looking at the right one? what other alternatives are on the market?

Would this make much difference in the noise and performance factor?

Im not looking at a decat as ive heard the Exige S needs backpressure, is this true?

All help appreciated!

Thanks!!

There are now several choices for sports cat, 2bular Larini and Quicksilver. All seem to be very good but as always a bad one slips through and causes issues for the owner.
I have a 2bular one on my S and it has been on there 18 months and has been faultless. At the end of the day plump for one I’m sure you won’t be dissapointed with any of the above
PS maybe you might make you choice based on the style and sound of the exhaust you want then get the sports cat to match?

I dont want my exhaust earbleeding loud, just a bit more agressive. I wanted to buy this sport cat first to see how loud it is, then maybe go on to purchase the larini exhaust.

Also isnt it the cat wat will make the performance difference? the exhaust will just make the noise?

thanks

I doubt you will ever feel any real performance improvement other than better throttle responce as if there is a HP gain it is only a small % of the total power of the car anyway.

Much more throttle response?

Because its cheaper just to replace the exhaust… lol
