Splitter/undertray

I’m looking to make a new front splitter…

I’ve made them out of ply and Ali in the past, but the Ali one was too thin and flexible and the ply one was too heavy (I used buffalo board which is very tough and strong, and painted well, but was 12mm thick which made it very heavy…)

A thick nylon might be good…?

Any suggestions ?

Thinner, less dense ply would be my shout. Cheap, easy to work with etc etc.

Cheers Sean… So 8 - 10 mm marine ply or something like that?

What do you do to get a good finish on it?

Yeah 8mm marine ply, sand the edges and then simply paint it black. That is all i ever did.
