Spec on Rear Caliper Attachment Bolt

Recently had a new (well reconditioned) caliper fitted on the o/s/r as the sliding mechanism had seized/rubber boots had torn. Have just returned from a trip to Scotland on which I started to get a bang every time I braked…checked all round on return and found that the bolt that attaches the rear caliper is actually missing completely. Whilst this ewxplains the noise nicely, I am surprised that its missing. I think it should have been threadlocked in?

I’m also due at a trackday on Saturday and need a new bolt urgently - anyone know the spec so I can see if I can get it from the local factors? I could take the bolt off the opposite side but that seems a bit drastic!

Parts list sayes the big one with a hex head is M10 x 80 and the smaller socket cap screw is M8 x 60 - min spec I would use is 10.9

And a little thread lock … there is a washer missing as well now - from the M10 to head to the caliper

Bloody sheep, eh? Sure you weren’t in Wales

where did you get it reconditioned?.. i’ve got a torn piston seal and it seems to be impossible to get a replacement so will have to send the whole caliper away for refurb it seems.

you have mail…
