Ive seen similar threads on Seloc, bus has anybody actually fitted these or an equivalent?

I think one of the main problems with sound system in the exige (non-touring anyway) is not having properly enclosed speakers and these seem a nice lightweight solution. I dont want to be particularly adding weight with heavy subs / amps so I thought Id give these a try before shelling out on more expensive speakers.
One idea I did have was to fibreglass over the speaker baffle once in place behind the bulk head to make the enclosure more rigid may have a go at experimenting.
I tried a few different setups (difference enclosures, custom speaker box in the passenger footwell, etc, etc) in both my previous exige and now my new one before deciding that it was a simple case of bining the awful standard speakers and head unit and starting again with better grade kit. I had the same concerns as you and didnt really want to add any extra weight to the car by going down the amp route, etc. Once you’ve junked the standard setup the sound difference is simply night and day…you really wont believe how poor the factory stuff is until you’ve replaced it.
If you’re just going down the speaker route I’d recommend seeking out the guy on Lotus talk who sells 5.25 inch speaker adapater rings for the front speakers. For $40 they allow you to replace the ridiculously tiny 4 inch jobbies in the front which makes a huge difference.
Ah now that inteests me, I was going to get rid of the rear speakers and all the paneling etc to save weight but wanted to keep the front speakers and stereo for longer journies so it might well sort my issue
Installed 3 out of the 4 speaker baffles last night. I need to take the passenger seat out to fit the 4th one so will have to wait till the weekend. The improvement is subtle, but noticeable. The sound seems to be a clearer and certainly less tinny. Another thing I also noticed was the amount of dirt behind the front speakers - At least with the baffles in place, the speakers are a little bit more protected form the dirt and grime!
Was thinking I may actually just keep the standard alpine speakers in now, and consider adding a removable slimline sub in the future.
Hi sorry to reserect an old thread but I would be interested to know what the conclusion was with all the baffles fitted? Also what size is required I have a 2010 car with 4 alpine speakers… but changed the head unit to a becker with satnav from a previous car (it’s realy a very good unit) and as everyone knows the speakers are rather lacking…
