Spa prep

So what prep have people been doing for the Spa trip??

So far this week on my S2, that I swore would stay standard I have fitted:

Baffled sump
New ally belled 315mm front disks
New rear disks
New pads
JSR gearbox oil cooler kit
New JSR spec 46mm single way Ohlins dampers and Eibach springs (road / track spec)

The dampers are awesome, we were gonna call them the JSR 90 - 90 dampers as we were hoping to get 90% of the road comfort of the standard dampers and 90% of what you would want from a track damper.

We know we have got the track bit right as they are based on my race dampers, but on the road at the twiddle of a knob they are about a million times better than the standard dampers, its like a limo man!!!

I have also lightened it by taking the Armafend off and it will be lightened further by it having a wash.

Oh I changed the stereo and the rear speakers as well a few weeks ago, as I thought the standard ones were a bit poo.

‘I have fitted’??? Are you sure???

I fitted the brakes, the sump, the suspension and 90% of the gearbox cooler.

So, yeah I am pretty sure!!

I seem to remember that you just sat i my car and dismantled the interior for no particular reason

If I am being honest i guess you and Wayne may have passed the odd spanner.

hahaha

Hahahaha!

Fair point. Version 2 will be worth it though!

Lol - Sean mate you’re incapable of keeping anything stock. I bet your toaster has got a JSR spec Eibach spring

Personally, my Spa prep has extended as far as bracing for an overwhelming sense of disappointment that I’m not coming too :frowning:

nice additions
Is the gearbox cooler kit based on mine?
Be interested to know how much for the Ohlins? My nitrons are 5 years old and need a rebuild I’m sure…

So far my prep has been

New front discs and pads
New rear wing
New oil and filter
New air filter
New tyres

Might be interested in the Ohlins as well, more details

Neil.

Nothing fancy, just an oil + filter, brake & clutch fluid change and a new set of front Pagids pads which will be done tonight.

Also, boring admin preps like getting my passport, insurance, license, adac card etc…

Tom

Oh yeah I changed all of the fluids as well.

Yeah Ade we are using the same pump and a similar laminova to that used in your kit.

New R888s
