List so far…

 1. Jonnyfox, uber light NA 840 :sunglasses:
 2. Boxster Boy, it’s a Spyder :sunglasses:
 3. RSNeil, it’s not a fecking ST :sunglasses: :frowning:
 4. Markyb, TBC  :sunglasses:
 5. Chips 100% pure N/A :sunglasses: x2

 7. Evo_ufo stole my Cabon side boards :sunglasses:

Still to confirm, Peter my Ohlin feel weird Exige 240, Martin trailers are for girls Caterham R?, Matty its Gotham baby T and Ian bloody driveshaft Elise /Honda! Calling Oz calling Oz…Pete???

Ok So I guess I’ve paid early (well Im in credit still waiting on final figure) it’s showing on my Login (youre still a Muppet Ade lol  ) but Chris-E-kins what you are looking at is:
10-12 tanks of fuel
100ish return on chunnel
250/375 Euro 2/3 nights at Radisson
Bar and food kitty
Track time 695ish two days 1/2 it for 1 inc Garage FOC thanks to BaT
Spa is covered on Insurance with REIS and such like
AA Euro cover…50ish
Add if Ive missed anything…
I’m struggling to justify this - based on the above you are looking at around 2.5K for 2 days on track plus the pre service check before you go, probably new rear tyres when I get back etc etc

So to break this down - probably manage 12 sessions over the 2 days which works out at between 150 to 200 per session

I know its Spa but I could do a whole year of trackdays for 2.5K

Just not convinced gents :frowning:

Okey dokey

Don’t get me wrong John. I bet it would be brilliant but knowing my fookin luck I’d probably puncture/break down on day 1 after 1 fookin lap !!!

Do we have any tyre suppliers going that we know of or people who know there way round a Lotus. I know there was mention of a ‘spares’ wagon going etc

No no, it’s not that much.

Trackdays 695
Hotel 3 nights 310 ish
Food 3 evening meals plus pop 100ish
Tunnel & Breakdown 120
Track fuel 160 for two days

Total 1385 for around 400 miles track time and a great time out with some pretty dodgy characters ?

Plus Travelling Fuel Uk mileage plus 420 miles return on continent at 35mpg?

Tyre wear and running costs are what they are, no different to a UK TD, pre checks are voluntary, I do all my own (and no that’s not why my CV failed last year )

Plus it’s Spa BABY!!!

Thanks for the reply. Most of the base costs I would agree with.
The track costs for me could be much higher. 400 track miles would cost me around 350 to 400 based on 5-8mpg on track.
900 miles for me to get there - another 150 - 200.

1500 mile trip with 400 on track would def mean new rear tyres.
Another 400.
Pre service check - not mechanically minded to do myself - another 250. Track day insurance = ???

Don’t get me wrong, I can afford all of the above it’s justifying it to myself

Dude you said it was the expense which Im fine with, but saying youre brand new car might breakdown, come on show some balls man  …tell that to Will, Ade or Ian its a chance we all take…get some AA Euro Cover or get Jonny to bring you home (not foc btw) should the worst happen.

This year will be my, Markybs & Pete Hs (tbc) forth year running, Ade, Boxster boy Andy & Ians third, Will & Neils second. Seans as in JSR is going probably with John and what they Will and Ian dont know about youre car you can write on the back of a postage stamp. Last year Marky, PeteH and I drove and did the Ring for a day (16 laps) three weeks before. The year before we did some even crazier stuff and PeteH went on and did Zandvortt which I shall be doing this year with a few others…hopefully! So all bar not choosing shitty accommodation and making Spa a double header in mid summer everything else is as it should be really. BaT will bring and fit tyres.

Its bloody good fun mate, we meet at Folkestone and pretty much live in each others pocket until back in Folkestone 2 or 3 days later…its a fooking giggle mate and worth every penny :sunglasses:

Cost savers:

 1. run a N/A so you get better track MPG
 2. run a N/A so you have less tyre & brake wear
 3. spend less on tat / modifications

3 must be at least 1500-2000 alone

On a more serious note, I’ll be reaching out to my usual instructor / Malcolm Edeson to see what he charges for a full day, so if anyone fancy a shared day, drop me a PM.

Thanks
Tom

Chris it is well worth the money, last year I drove most of the first day seemed to be constanly filling up with fuel and ended up doing 220miles on track, bloody brilliant, I average about 8mpg and never bther to look at the fuel cost, I now sacrafice 2 UK days to go each year, it is a brilliant giggle.
If you are like some of us and own a business, I seem to go to a 2 day conference every year in Belgium now , it doen’t help much but it helps

Ok here you go chaps, please can you download, fill in and return to the hotel the linked form to make your reservation, cheers
