Spa BaT Aug 2011

Thanks for posting vids lads…really enjoyed watching those, Spa really is epic :sunglasses:

Wish you were there mate…maybe next

my personal best is 6mpg, i credit the boggy standard suspension and excessive grip before i got the nitrons

Spa 02.08.11 - YouTube

The squealing is not the tyres - it’s Wendy (Toby’s better/faster half )
Nice run

Which updates have bee done on the car?
Suspension, intercooler, all the fluids, PF pads, suspension arms, aero - front canards & rear diffuser, exhaust & AIM dash and Smartycam

Not much really

You are more than welcome and the more the merrier, its a real scream. Great banter, excellent track fun made even better when there’s almost 20 cars. I’ll be sorting it out again with JL and The Radisson for next year. Watch this space…

Finally got home tonight after spending a few days with the folks. Old Disco has covered 1,595mls since we left, with the Exige managing 431mls (not incl the 2 on the back of the Spa recovery truck). Car has been into the guys at Trackclub and is all serviced and fixed.

Had a fab time, made so much better by the great bunch of folks who were there. Thanks to all those who helped me out when I had my little incident.
A few pics from the trip.

A chance to chill on the ferry

Went for a tour of the local area on arrival as we couldnt check into the hotel

Mostly pork and M3s in the car park (Exige on UK plate in background)

This looked quite quick

Just as we were about to go out, the toll road (24 Euro per lap) closed due to a race prepd M3 restyling the Armco.

Spa 24 Hr GT racer (possibly <24 Hrs for this one)

Not a wide exit from the pit but one of the Porsche boys trying out Matts (hopefully right name) line round La Source

Great stuff . . quite fancy a go!

Great pics, Yvonne… any more please? :sunglasses:

Just a couple of points on the hotel -

 1. Too far out of Spa and no fooking taxi’s (unless you count chris and seans BM cabs)
 2. Ran out of chips & burgers ??? - I’m in catering and cannot work out how you run out of frozen chips & burgers
 3. Drinks were bonkers expensive - 15 euros for 2 large OJ & lemonade
 4. The final insult - took a 500 euro pre authorisation from my credit card which is still active 1 week later and after they have processed my actual bill . Emailed them with no response so had to get my bank to cancel it

In short I will be going to Spa next year but not staying in the same hotel

We heard about another hotel on the way back on the train, I can’t remember the name but hopefully Jacqui can.

I think this was it

Hotel

That’s Bernie’s new Hotel

Well the guys with the GT3 thought it was lovely and very quiet

looks nice - thanks Ade. Now all we have to do is convince Mr Fox

the price looked coparative as well for similar dates next year

Not fussed fellas…

Have you checked the bar prices???

Food looks pricey although they may have stock !!!

No bar prices I can see - we might be better at the Raddisson in the centre of Spa and eat/drink out - no shortage of options from what I saw on my numerous taxi runs !!!

Parking…

Edit to say I was told it was an issue, trailering was a biggy reason and not so secure Chris.
