Last year a few of us hardy souls (8 cars IIRC) met up Nr Ings, between Kendal & Windermere. Anyone fancy doing something similar this year, a bit of tyre kicking, eating & perhaps a drive out weather permitting?
I’m thinking maybe sometime between 26th Dec and 2nd Jan.
Post here if you are interested & maybe we can sort it out
“perhaps a drive out weather permitting” the snow was falling when I left Bowness a couple of hours ago
Lotus currently residing there with expired MOT but that should be sorted assuming I find time to bring her back next week, so could well be up for this.
Tim, i would also be up for this again, weather permitting of course, enjoyed it last year and we were lucky with the weather, was a lovely bright clear day, here’s hoping for more of the same this year.

Attempted to retrive yesterday but the side roads in the Lakes still solid ice so thought better of the idea Snow permiting will be heading back up New years Eve so should be around but Exigeless as even if it clears - no MOT.
I’m not sure this is such a good idea at the moment. I was at Keswick yesterday, all the primary routes are ok but everything else is untreated and still very icy. The forecast isn’t looking too good either, so maybe best to postpone until Jan sometime?
Visited my sister/bro in law today who live in Silverdale, & had a great walk in the countryside, whilst still close to shoreline. Here’s a piccie I took of part of Morecambe Bay looking from Arnside (adjacent to Silverdale) to Grange, whilst I was there early January.
