Sounds like fun ?

Google’s driverless car: no steering wheel, two seats, 25mph

Perhaps they could program one for the ideal line on sighting laps?

Just what I need!

Does it use indicators or will they just use the same as supplied to BMW and some Audi models?

Meow!

Own an Audi, huh, jonny?

I’m looking at an S1 tomorrow. Feels like a nice station car upgrade to my R53 JCW.

When I first read this…I thought you were going to buy an Elise/Exige S1 to drive to station! Then I realised you meant Audi S1…

I personally find that 400bhp is an appropriate power output for a commute car

Wish the S1 had been out when I bought my Mini GP2 it might have made me buy another Audi, the only issue I had with the A1 was the cheap interior plastics, I thought they were nasty and it put me off going down to an A1 from the plush A3
For a cheap station car though, look at the fiesta ST3 with the Mountune kit, friend of mine just got one for about £18k, it is a really good car for the cash.

Yeah, that had been a plan but the thing is the Audi is a much nicer place to sit (chuck in some of the colour coded interior on the S1 for added funk, red over yellow I think), especially when it’s been a long day and you’re not in the mood to play. I haven’t finished the maths yet but the Audi depreciates much slower than the Ford (big surprise there right!), just from a significantly higher starting point.

Ultimate pocket rocket-my MINIGP1-supercharger so no lag,218bhp,Konis+Eibach springs on mine+value only going one way.

<Walks off wondering how much a 6 month old Mini GP2 is worth>

Apparently Audi have officially embargoed them. So no drive tomorrow and that picture above doesn’t actually exist, you are seeing things.

Yeah, I am aware that my Mini has lost less than a grand in 3 years and still laps up a spanking. But it’s now nearly 10 years old and it’s so crammed in in that engine bay that when something goes wrong it’s going to cost (even with only 35k miles).
