just fitted a 2bular manifold+ de-cat+ 17x6 back box to my 240S, my old 2bular exhast was shagged inside because the engine movement had broken the bracket that holds the Std manifold and the exhaust had taken all the flex. Rather than change the engine mounts that will give more vibration through the car or Lotus just replace the broken manifold for a new std manifold and hope for the best I have gone this way.
It all fitted now , it’s taken me a day and a half and I’m just waiting for a af bung from Jim now and a mil eliminator thing and I’m also going to wrap the lot in heat wrap.
When I have been wedged under the car for hours I noticed two 3" cut out holes in the sub frame just above the defuser , one each side of the car about in line with the grills next to the number plate , I have an idea to fit two 3" fans ,One over each hole that will suck hot air out from the engine bay and blow over the defuser then out the number plate grills , can I pick up a switched live from the engine bay does anyone know ?

I’ve got 2 spal fans sucking air thorough my larger intercooler in the engine compartment.
I took live for the fans directly from the battery via a fused cable and a 40A switching relay. Live I got from the front of the car (radio feed)and fed the wire back thorugh the car. Put this live feed throught a small switch with LED so could switch off and on from the cockpit independant of ignition. i.e come in and all is still hot can leave the fans running a
while but switch igniton off.
Hope this helps not exactly same set up as you are contemplating but two fans in rear of car as would yours be

Thanks , how hard was it to get through from engine bay to the head unit for the switch live?
two small fans i have ordered.

Quite easy
Ran the wire under the car and through the gearshift cable hole/tunnel. Take the rear undertray off and get under the car easy to see where the gearshift and brake cables go into the cockpit
