I think that’s a car I see up at Brands a fair bit. When I’ve seen it, it’s been on slicks and it’s proper fast and driven very, very well indeed. Can’t remember what power it’s running but I don’t think it’s anything ridiculous.
yeah, from the engine bay shot it doesn’t look anything over the top, I would guess at 380bhp tops.
I do love the mk1 golf shape, i don’t think the shell’s are very heavy either, so I would also guess at a 900kg ish weight.
It belongs to Maurice and Trevor Reeves runs about 350hp, Brands is there local track so yes you would have seen it there Jamie as well as the black MkII Golf they run (same sort of power)
Done a few track days with them over the years when i was into the VW thing but only get to see them once or twice a year now.
Trevor tends to drive them most of the time and is an ex british rally X champ so knows his way round a car.
And still does the odd small event now and then.
Yep that’s them then. I’ve done a few days when they’ve been there now and usually have a quick chat with the older tall chap. I assume this is Trevor.
I fondly remember one day when we were both out at the same time, following each other and steadily picking our way through a load of silly power skylines/supras etc practising for Time Attack.
The Exige S1 that gets passed looks like an Aqua one - it must be Evosal

only 2 s1 exiges there. me and a very nice belgium bloke. made the mistake of blagging a passenger ride with him to see what his nitrons were like… guess whos now got a set on order!

I am fairly sure I was touching just over 145. The car started to get a little scary at this point though as it was raining.
