Come on Jamie, are we still going to see the red beast on track? What’s the new owner like?
And now you’ve sold it are you going to spill the beans on what the next project is going to be??

Nice bloke from down south. He’s perilously owned a 340R and has an S1 currently so should stay out the hedge and on the road I am sure we will see the car out and about.
I am for the short term anyway, going sensible. But I will be back with something silly.

you mean SMART…
Phew glad you sold it Jamie - I was beginning to worry!! lol
Picking up the short term replacement on Saturday
Hi guys, I’m the proud owner of Jamie’s car.
I flew to Edinburgh two weeks ago to meet the car and Jamie. 4 hours after meeting Jamie in his car, I was on my way home, a little nervous with snow covered verges and flooded motorways as I left Scotland in an unfamiliar car. I had a few worrying moments aqua-planning. Jamie was very patient and an extremely nice guy. The car is a fantastic setup and well sorted. I’m taking my time adjusting to the handling and extra power. I’m always respectfull of powered rear wheels and would be shame to wreck such a nice car ! It’s in daily use around basingstoke, journeys to work are just too short !
Looking forward to meeting like minded lotus nuts !
Congrats on a great choice…
Congrats on a great choice…
Seconded
Howdy Jason and welcome. I have paxed in your car a few times and Jamie gave me a wee drive in it too - it is an awesome piece of kit. Along the the Weltmeister demo car it is probably the fastest road legal S2 in the UK right now . Enjoy!
Welcome!!
I’m only down the road from you in Southampton! Looking forward to seeing you at a track very soon!
Still enjoying the car and gaining confidence.
Would be a shame not to track the car so, Castle Combe booked for the 23rd March. Now to sort some tuition out to learn how to drive…
If any one is there please come up and say hello !
Castle Combe as your first track day??? Brave choice, hope its dry.
Check your noise levels before you go there, CC is VERY strict. If you don’t pass the paddock static noise test you don’t go on the circuit.
Good luck with your new Bemani car, you have made a very good choice. I have three track cars here in the states with
owners that are very pleased with their Bemani SC systems.
Cheers, Don

So there are Bemani cars in the US?
Did you convert them there?
Really, Castle Combe is it a bit notorious?
Took a visit to Plans MotorSport yesterday, they have done work on the car in the past and Graham and his team are obviously very knowledgeable guys. He was kind enough to take time out to explain the set up of the business and show me around the workshops.
He took the car out for a little spin to check it out, had a look over the car and measured the noise level, between 98 & 99 dB. So should be Ok, especially if I take the exhaust collar with me incase, which Jamie says knocks another dB off.
I’m back next Monday, as a paying customer, for a few hours tuition by Graham. Some quiet track time with Graham will hopefully teach me the basics and give me a bit more confidence for Castle Combe.
Good work you will love it

It’s a very fast circuit and in places has little runoff so you need to be mindful, especially the 2nd corner from the start/finish straight which is deceptively tight and has a bit of a rise on the approach.
I was there last month and they were re-building the pitlane wall which meant they had coned off half the width the final corner in an attempt to reduce speeds onto the pit straight
