Ok so just say I had figured out I might be selling what do we think my car is worth?
Spec is as follows:-
2007 57 plate Super Touring but with 08 style soft touch dash.
16.5k miles, FLSH, 2010 rear soiler and bootlid, cup roof, Lotus 260 conversion, Forge IC, Custom Nitron dampers, 2bular GT3 exhaust with custom Boothy211 rear, larini silenced de cat, cup260 ultra light forged alloys, Brand new EP ally bell front disks and OEM rears, CL RC5+ pads, Elise shop uprated engine mount bushes, Blue tooth handsfree and ipod doc stereo and two cup holders.
Car is mint aside stonechipped front end and was only detailed last year.
Boothy
p.s. I had my eye on an (NA rocks) 211 but Steph said she would leave me if I bought it…
LOL! When I got the car we only had a Peugeot 107 and the van and so the exige was used quite alot to go places. That swayed me towards the S2 exige as it really is the best all round Lotus I have owned.
However now we use the BMW most of the time for pottering so a level of comfort is no longer required in my toy car
I have just not been using the exige and its becoming more of a car used for the odd blat and trackdays, hence why I started looking at Caterhams etc.
I would love something a little lighter on the track and a 211 really does float my boat, the problem is I really could not use it for anything other than trackdays and Steph has refused point blank to go in one due to needing a helmet.
Which keeps bringing me back to a nice well sorted S1, I could get the nitrons on there and R888’s and with sorted handling it would be a hoot on track and back roads plus when I feel I am ready for more power I can chuck a Honda in.
grass is always greener although in principal it makes alot of sense…
i got my previous motor before my first zige just how i wanted it. spent hours and lots of money on it
after two years, and getting it perfect… i foolishly sold it, and miss it like buggery
I might be biased, but an S1 Exige is a pretty safe place for your money… so you don’t need to worry about not using it as much as it shouldn’t be depreciating hugely if at all…
Track cars are always about compromise… really not sure I’d like to be driving a Caterham or a 211 to a trackday… so then you start needing a trailer/tow car…
Deffo worth more to you than what you’d get someone else to pay for it , if you see what I mean ?
If you are serious about selling then take all your good bits off and sell them separate…
Id say 25k for the basic car and then sell the good bits to get max money back …
Sadly I don’t think it will be that much, look on pistonheads, you would be better off taking off some of the bits and selling them seperately, i would think you would only get 25k for it with or without the mods. It is like buying a 2nd hand BMW you won’t pay much extra for a fully loaded one but you will buy it over a basic car.
Well I guess I can only see, I spent over 2.5k on it in the last few months with the wheels and Body work mods.
If nobody wants it for that I’ll start selling bits off
