Snake oil or useful ?

What are peoples thoughts on this for extra cooling. I have a 2 Eleven IC shroud and ducting at the moment. Can spraying the IC bring anything extra to the table.

Had one of those fitted as standard to the front of my last scooby! Had no idea how much difference it made, but the thought behind it is sound.

We’ve fitted a few variants including aqumist and a self made one rigged to a throttle switch. we’re currently making a new one that will use an ECU link so it can be temp or driver activated. They do work but o be effective for a decent session you end up needing 10 litres of water.

So Stephen, sensibly, the practical answer is to chargecool?
Much as I would like to get my Marston IC to show it’s worth, a good A/W system seems to be able to lower the charge temp more effectively and I don’t really won’t to be filling a mist reservoir every few laps.

If you’re going to pay the 10KG weight penalty anyway then I’d go for charge cooler and be done with it too, unless you are then going to mist the front rad as well

Had someone do that to mine on a dyno shoot out, it was hardly surprising but it made no difference at all, he asked me where the intercooler rad was, then sprayed the rad with water and just covered the screen, it was quite funny at the time.

You would be better off getting a proper methanol Aquamist system spraying into your post intercooler pipe , I plan to do this when I get time .

yes, without doubt!

I have a used one and a new one on the shelf!
