Seriously though, I’d wander around as much of the circuit as you can, so you can see the amazing corner speeds, as well as the straightline stuff.

GOt to the circuit at 9.am… traffic not bad. Parked up behind a black Exige S1 VHPD… anyone here?
Walked around the entire cct!!! Much to the protests from my 15 year old 6 foot tall eldest!!! ‘Dad’… you walk too fast!!!
THE best place to be is the new ‘Arena’ complex! Makes Maggots seem tame! They worked up to be almost flat in 7th on a roght hander with a VERY early apex to a 6th gear left on to the new straight to the Luffield bends. AWESOME… and the guy with THE biggest balls and most commitment was… SCHUEY!!!
Practice starts out of the pit lane exit… boring, with a very slow take-off not getting bogged down. 0-50 seemed slow, then… off they go!!!
Have to say with some dismay that the Lotus’ were SO slow! Grip about the afore mentioned corners was rubbish so they were then many mph slower on the straights. The car seemed loose at the rear and neither of the guys seemed to trust it enough to hang their balls out on it. Also IMHO I think the colour scheme is wrong! It looks very ‘dated’… not even ‘classical’ to remind us of the past days of glory.
Anyway, a BRILL day out… though bloody hot at 31 degs and some totally blue skies! Glad I took the sun screen and the tinnies!
