Well have been looking around for some time, and reading posts from you experienced Exige owners.

Finally picked up my new baby today.

Sat in it outside the post office whilst the dealer was getting road tax for me. Four people stopped to stare.

Stupid grin on my face all the way home to Surrey.

I haven’t been stared at this much since I streaked across the school playing fields for a dare (only joking).

Must admit reading all your posts I initially thought “These guys are a bit over the top”. Now I have driven, and owned one for - 7 hrs. 20 mins. and 32 secs. I can understand what all the fuss was about.

Gun metal grey with 7500 miles on the clock.

I feel like I have woken up and found Kylie in bed next to me. - No hang on let’s not get too silly. Even an Exige is not that good.

Is it ?

Thank you for all of you who unknowingly have been asssiting me with advice over the last few months.

Regarding the Smug of Exiges - That sounds good.!

Can any one tell me. Where does the word EXIGE come from and what does it mean !!

And why is there some guy at Lotus who is obviously high on E’s allowed to name all the cars - Elan, Elise, Esprit, Excel, Europa, Exige !

So is there a Regular Exige Cruis that takes place, in the South ?

Talking of people staring at the car reminds me of the time I was parked by a chippy, sat out side eating my chips when a car came past with a guy who couldn’t take his eyes off the car, which was a pity co’s he didn’t notice the traffic in front of him had stopped, you can probably guess what happened next.
Had my car for two years now and you still can’t wipe the grin of my face.

Can any one tell me. Where does the word EXIGE come from and what does it mean !!

I think it comes from the French (and Spanish) word for ‘Demand’,…kinda appropriate me thinks. Demands to be driven, demands to be noticed yada yada yada…

BTW welcome to the club. I picked up mine one day before you,…so I guess I can hand over the Newbie mantle to you now…

I know how you feel - had mine 3 months now and grin has grown wider as the mods have started !!

Where are you in Surrey ? - there’s quite a few this way now as I’m in Reigate and know of two more within a few miles

Yeh, that Scuffham fella seems to have a bit of a downer on Lotus in general, does anyone know why? - what does he actually drive/race, anyone?

Simon races what was a Sport190, albeit now seriously modded, QED engine I believe, in the EERC.
