Sill covers

Anybody used these covers??
Mine need a refresh and these could do the job.

Clive
These are only covers, so you need to get your old covers removed and fit these without messing them up …
From experience, the material is really important on the bit your bum always rubs on, the black section and usually the corner of it - I had some recovered but the material wore out always instant and Im sure the suede would also … really needs the tougher original material in that area and well fitted so its not too proud and easy damaged …

Allon White Sports Cars charged around £80 to trim both of mine to original spec Clive.

About the same cost as JF from DTT when I had mine done as well.

AW want £165 now and long lead time.

Andy is the Carbon look material used in some seat panels suitable? otherwise guess it has to be leather.

it was the Carbon material that wore out - the original material is like a canvas, its also used on some of teh seat - not sure the name of it - but I would only use this or similar wear resitant stuff - IMHO …

Lotus Elise S1 replacement sill cover

Sill covers are a high wear area and all too quickly these can look very tired.

We can retrim sill covers in leather with either ‘Hooding’ or ‘Keprotech’ for the wear patches, and leather or alcantara pockets.

Hooding wear patches are as Lotus originally used on the S1 Elises and Exiges. Keprotech is an extremely hard wearing material introduced on the later S2 Elises.

You know it makes sense Clive, even on a pension

Watch it you young whipper snapper… nothing wrong with us old farts ( where did I put my Zimmer) :unamused:

Found a guy who can turn them round in a couple of days using leather and/or hooding for around £70 ea…
Ex Maidstone SC trimmer now on his own unfortunate business name "Stitched Up Trimmers " 01634 405 867. :astonished:
I recon 2 tone black leather with hooding pockets

Another recommendation for Allon White from me Clive.

Andy was it Keprotec that wore out? Their website makes it look like the stuff used on the wear sections,of seats.
If so maybe its not really so tough and the original hooding would be best
The alcantara bit where feet scuf the cover is pretty worn and looks as if its been replaced more than once.
Would leather for the bum bit stretch and look pretty poor ?
AW it will be. Once i can get the next cover off.

No Clive it was the carbon look leather stuff …
I have Keprotec on my S3 seats - feels unlikely to get worn out ever …
