Side skirts vs. air con pipes

I’m fitting some side skirts to the car and would like to attach them securely along the length of the underside of the sill, but there is very little horizontal bodywork to attach it to.

My preferred method would be to drill and fit a couple of well nuts through the bodywork but not if I risk damaging the air con pipework.

Do the pipes rest along the bottom of the sill?

Cheers

They did in mine. Now replaced with flexible hoses  .

Thanks for the response. I ended up using Velcro to held hold them tight to the bodywork. They are securely fixed to the body at the front and rear anyway.

Where did you get the skirts from?

Any photo of them attached?

Sunset Signs

I have photos which I took and resized for upload but I keep getting an error - so may try again later.

Thanks, will give them a call.

Finally

And from the rear

Very nice I like that. Love those wheels.

Likewise.

Thanks chaps. The wheels are OE because it’s an RGB.
I’m going to do a little write up on it when I’ve finished getting it to where I want it.

Back to my original question, I removed the Velcro as it ended up spacing the skirts from the body by a couple of mm which meant an extra couple of mm to be filled sealing it to the sill.

I decided to silicone it on the underside so I can remove them without trace in future. I was hesitant to use silicone on the top edge of the skirt because it can stick like sh!t to a blanket but a quick call to Car Builder Solutions and we had a plan to layer on a lot of wax so it doesn’t adhere to the paint work directly. The logic seemed sound…

Thanks for the photo’s your car looks sublime

Fitted them at last ehh  looks good fella
