side scoop + gear knob

Any one know where i can get the standerd gear knob from for the s1 exige?

Has anyone fitted side scoops on the sides of their s1s? Do they actually make any difference in temp around the engine?

Plenty of us have fitted side scoops, & also cutaway/drilled the panel under the rear numberplate to improve airflow through the engine bay.

Whereabouts are you based, as there may well be someone from here who can show you the mods.

That cut away behind the rear number plate looks interesting… seems crazy how there is not a good way of getting rid of the hot air from the engine compartment!
Im in herts so not sure if there is anyone close by?

A pic and a place to get the side scoops from would be great if anyone can help?

Eliseparts do carbon or gel-coat side scoops at around �120 and �90 a pair (not certain on those prices). There are other suppliers as well, but that where I got mine.

I fitted them to my S1 Elise and they had the effect of improving engine breathing - the car now reaches the 8000rpm limiter in 4th whereas before the scoops, it ran out of puff at about 7000. No idea on the cooling though. I guess it can hurt, and I’ve stuck an oil cooler partially in front of the driver’s side one.
