I hope you enjoy your new motor Steve, I bet is is tucked up in the garage with it’s mates
Well spotted Mr Fox & eagle eyed Pesky for spotting the watch
I had forgotten how great an S1 was as I hadn’t driven one since my last went to DaveP about 6 or 7 years ago and Shrek is amazing. Shrek and my Titanium one are only 3 numbers apart on the registration plate.
Crap weather for last 100 miles but ran perfectly and my ears didn’t bleed which was a surprise. It was January too when I drove my first S1 home from High Wycombe in 2003 and it rained then too.
Thanks to Pete for letting me take over being Shrek’s custodian and he will be going to Anglesey in April unless I can convince Christine to drive the S2 there as well but I think that might be a no go.
Here he is having a shampoo after the drive back
WELL CHUFFED
Cheers Pete. I will get a picture of the ‘boys’ together when the weather picks up
Awesome Its great that such a special car has both stayed in the UK and in the community. I’m sure Peter will be back in the saddle soon, but this has to be the best outcome in the interim…
Looks like you got a bit excited mate, hope the tissues were close at hand
PMSL!!!
That car will cost many, many handbags.
Don’t I know it Tim
Nice addition Steve
Well done Steve, good news all round buddy
Congrats on the purchase
Good luck with the handbags…
Watch?!
I spotted the thumb! Inflamed from peeling off so many pound notes for Pete
Lets just say Steve got the bargain of the century mate!
I was in Castle Lotus last week and they have a Elise S1 coming in with 6000 miles (Shrek has 13,000)…
… going on sale for £ 20,000!
OEM VHPD Exiges will only do one thing…
I should have negotiated a profit share scheme with Steve as part of the deal!
Pete & Steve
Having both now sampled the S1 and S2, the logical next step MUST be a V6??
Would’nt need to be an Exige either…
Good point, though, on balance I think I’ll stick with the S1
That’s ok then Thommo, i was actually referring to 6970K & 757
I have a V6 Tim. Oh but it isn’t a Lotus
That’s a right little Bobby Dazzler. Lucky man
It soon could be though Steve, it soon could be
Will a V6 engine fit in the S1 Exige
