Servicing costs

Hi,What are the servicing intervals, and the costs. If anyone could help it would be aprreciated. Thanks

Service - every 6000 miles.Cost - 250 plus vat on average, including oils & filters. Bloody reasonable considering, the performance etc! I also tend to change oil/filter every 2 or 3 thousand miles -depends upon how much trackday use its had!!! I probably don’t need to do this as modern fully synthetic oils (Mobil Motorsport etc)are so good - but I’m old fashioned & it gives me peace of mind [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/wink.gif[/image]

Who provided these quotes?I’ve been quoted 350 (A),475 (B),600 (C)by Storm (Leicester). quote:Originally posted by Pesky:Service - every 6000 miles.Cost - 250 plus vat on average, including oils & filters. Col SThey’re having a larf - what’s their hourly labour rate???Excluding Vat, let’s say oil & filter 55, (spark plugs 20 at 12K miles), plus 2 hours labour! At 12 months (or 12K miles), brake fluid needs changing - add 1 hour, plus 20 for standard fluid, or 40 for Castrol SRF (recommended when you upgrade to braided hoses , & you will!!!). I’ve not got my service book handy, so I can’t remember what else needs doing of any note, apart from inspection of brake pads/hoses, steering rack gaiters, oil/fluid levels etc.which should only take a few minutes.Have you asked them for a break down of their quote?

I just paid a few pennies less than 350 for a B 12K service and this included 25+vat for a fuel treatment product to clean the fuel path and combustion chambers. About what i’d been expecting.

Col.SYou can expect to be charged about 60-75 per hour + vat at a main dealer, this is what i’ve been quoted, plus parts.Hope this will help. [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/smile.gif[/image]

Ston,I think Storm are very expensive, my B service and new rear pads came to 650,see thread http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/Forum11/HTML/000027.html I’m not terribly impressed with the level of customer service either. There seem to be better dealers out there, Nick Whale and Lakeside Engineering always appear to get good reviews.HTH, DJ

Would agree with Insane-DJ …Gary in sales was fine but the rest don’t impress and they are now part of another group so that may answer the cost - BTW they quoted me 1500 quid to go to 190 - Nick Whale gave me 800 quid …
