My car was first registered on 21st April 2005, first service was done 16th February 2006 (2000 miles), second service 16th February 2007 (4026 miles). The MOT is not due until 21st April and I have only done 2k miles since the last service.

Does it make sense to leave the service until the MOT is due or should i get the service done now?

PS. Plan to do a lot more miles this year!!

I think you can get the MOT done a month ahead of the actual date its due, so I’d split the difference between the two and do it towards the back end of March.

That makes sense. At least once the service has been done it should pass the MOT without a problem.
