It looks like Sept 11th is going to be a good day for Lotus motorsport in the North West.
The Elise Trophy is running at Oulton Park and just up the road we’re entering the Promenade Rally on New Brighton sea front. The rally usually starts around 9am so there’s a chance for spectators to easily catch both events.
The current rally entries list includes our S2 Exige, Bill Bates in his S1 Exige and Stuart Deeley (Favourite for 1st overall) in his Banks Europa with monster N/A Duratec power. There’s also a few 6R4’s and plenty of MkII Escorts.
Unfortunately Gareth can’t navigate on the event due to work commitments so I’m recruiting a reserve navigator.
Most importantly I’m praying for dry sunny weather. It’s a road course with big kerbs and roundabouts that you do not want to contact (speaking form previous experience!)
