seriously u must be gutted mate…im approachin a similar situation. my ex wants half my shit…fumin…my name on the deed…i paid 4 deposit, all interior bits includin new bathroom, conservatory and the rest of the house is mint. 28.000 worth of mortgage payments, every bill apart from the internet. she were student and any money she earnt she kept and i let her buy new mini cooper s, audi a3’s etc…fumin…even wen i were skint and on my arse strugglin i never asked her 4 a penny! even though she had �3-4k savings…anyway i split with her a year ago…she want half the equity…we were negaged with no kids…off to c a solicitor later. depending on the outcome mine might be up for sale …oh and now she is engaged to my old mate grrrrr…

BTW… in law there is (as yet) still NO such thing as a ‘common law wife’.
So AFAIK, she has NO claim on your posessions/money etc. IF you had children with her however, that situation does change…

yeah, no kids. already found out about common law etc…her solicitor is sayin…“an interest in the marital home” we were only engaged. an now she is engaged to my old mate…hahaha she can lick my balls.
We’re going a bit off topic, but yea, I think she’s on very thin ground - common-law wife does not exist and I believe she has very little claim on anything especially if she can’t prove her input into the home.

Well chaps… it is now SOLD. 
I had 5 offers for the asking price!!! (Should have put it up for auction!!!)
Feel very sad as I know my Exige was a very good one and like I had said I NEVER thought the day would come… There are some things that you DO keep for life (the right wife 25 years ago would have saved quite a few bucks!!!) and I had always said after my search for my car that it would be one of those things…
Never mind… Onwards and Upwards as they say!!! Regretably there was indeed no other choice… Rob my mortages are right up there as all the equity in the houses has been wiped off by this recession!!!
Not sure what the future will hold. The chances of finding another S1 once all this is over in 3-5??? years I think will be slim… besides they will be selling for 30K by then! So in the meantime I will pretend that the ‘turn in’ on my rear wheel drive BMW 118 DIESEL is still fab!!! (NOT!)
I know that I will still post (is that allowed???) and will keep in touch with a GREAT group of guys. It has been MEGA FUN!
