Sell your Exige

Right everyone listen up, SELL YOUR EXIGE, after a track session last night at Knockhill, the Exige was well and truly but to shame, Ally was there with his new Radical SR3, all I can say was its awesome, the difference between the cars was like comparing an Exige to an Escort, so dont bother spending money on the Exige to improve the performance, just sell it and by a R3, or if your very lucky like somebody I know, have and Exige and a SR3.Dave

Where would I put my briefcase in the Radical - is there a handy slot? Also, I prefer the shape of the Exige! [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image]

Guys, check the pics out at: http://www.bookatrack.com/isapi/bat.dll?7&gall&166&uldis&20903 [image]http://www.bookatrack.com/g2/uldis/2/320.33.100-0001_IMG.JPG[/image][image]http://www.bookatrack.com/g2/uldis/2/320.34.100-0002_IMG.JPG[/image][image]http://www.bookatrack.com/g2/uldis/2/320.35.100-0003_IMG.JPG[/image]Admin5, I wanted to post them as part of this message, how do you do that?Cheers,Uldis[This message has been edited by Admin5 (edited 04 October 2002).]

Naaaa… shant rise to this one - gonna watch some paint dry instead.

gee, thats ugly

They’ve invented an SR3 with a roof now have they ? Nice !!Also, I’m glad to hear that they’ve fitted electronically adjustable ride height to the SR3 so that you can use it on public roads without grounding on ants, and other large objects.Bah, if you want a track only car, get a Formula Ford or something.[This message has been edited by Admin5 (edited 04 October 2002).]

Only one seat? Where do the girlies sit then? Bet it doesn’t have any cup-holders either.

Why not an Ultima ? Really just a big Exige with attitude!! Apart from the cup holders its horses for courses?

LRDriver who posts on here occasionally bought an Ultima, but sold it again a couple of days later. Posted this on it elsewhere… To be honest the elise is more fun during normal speeds and the steering is a bit dead on the ultima. wheel spin thru 2/3/4 gear and frieghttrain accelaration from 70 mph thru to ? (i stopped at 130mph) So its sold again, the price of owning a supercar was a whack in the wallet…but so what…live and learn, I can say I’ve had one and driven one so now its out of my system…Back to the elise, dammit I love that car, nothing beats the whole package of steering feel, braking, position, poise etc… screw the ferraris porsches lambos and other crap…driving circles around the expensive stuff on track makes the Elise the best effing car I have ever driven…its TB’s and a steel engine rebuild for her this winter…And I’m drunk cause I lost some wedge on the Ultima…and they are overrrated…(if you are an Elise-owner)…Cheers

Sandra, look closer, it’s a two seater !Uldis

LOL - I still think the Exige is one of the best all-round road/track packages so will be hanging onto mine for sometime yet (funds permitting). [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/smile.gif[/image]BTW, the ground clearance is about 2" so it would certanly be possible to drive it on the road unless you have bigger ants down there than us Jocks. I would have no qualms about driving it to Knockhill from Glasgow (about 50 miles). Unless it was raining. [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/wink.gif[/image] Not sure about FF’s - many trackdays bar cars that ain’t road legal or are single seaters. Plus it’s fun to take out passengers. I see we’re on cup holders again! [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image] To be honest I’m sorely tempted by the SR3, but have to admit that it isn’t as usable as the Exige (no roof, no space), although that hasn’t entirely stopped me wanting one. The Exige is staying, but maybe one day when I’ve got a bit more garage space…

[image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image]

When I went in a Radical I couldnt see out of the top…do they make booster seats?!Christine

Oi - WhatthefookyoutalkingabootRoger! It may be fast but it ain’t that fast. [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/wink.gif[/image] Just buy a periscope Christine. [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/wink.gif[/image] I’m a short-ass and I see out OK. A small cushion should sort out any additional height req’d to be comfortable.

I’m a bit worried to see that the local graffiti taggers have scrawled a fapping great big “R” on the front of your car though.Still, that’ll polish out I suppose.

That was the local kids. Left it out one night and that’s what I came back to. I guess it could have been worse - they could have scrawled Porsche all over it.
