Would be great to see a few Exigers/Elisers next weekend at this event being run by our very own 83man & his team at VSCC
Would loved to have come, but I think the Britcar 24hour just pips it.
Hmm might pop along to Silverstone in the evening. I remember being in the team Scandal garage when Randy came in about midnight after the wheel had fallen off the Prosport (again). He sat belted in the car still wide-eyed, in the zone while the guys were busy with the spanners. Car fixed, he got the signal to fire it up and was off into the night again…awesome
Oohhhh - I might be able to squeeze a day in…
Think I’m going to be there on Sunday.
Nope, going on Saturday instead!
Just got back from the first qually at Silverstone and its bloody naff, Im really pissed off. You can no longer take your car inside the cirsuit, no matter what pass you have (unless you are a competitor) they wont let you inside.
So you have to park outside the main gate and then walk, which is made extra great when it is pissing down with rain.
I cant see the sense in it, its a bloody clubman race meet. I used to love driving to different parts of the circuit to watch as the night drew in. Plus you could park on a bank or the infield and watch from in your car, no chance of that now.
Really really racked off!!!
Stop whinging, you Brummie Tart, get some bloody exercise in fresh air!
See you at Donny tomorrow then? If so, give us a bell, & I’ll buy you a faggot & chips…with gravy.
I probobly do need the excercise.
PMSL
Merger of probably & wobbly
Now, about those faggotts & chips… not tempted, mate?
I was planning on going for a few hours but in the lashing down rain I’m sorry, I can’t be arsed getting stung for a 2day ticket for pitching up at 10:30pm and then spend an hour trudging backwards and forwards across the in-field to get to the pits.
I realise I am ‘probobly’ being a miserable sod and good luck to the guys out there hooning through the dark/rain.
Soggy Chips, crap Faggots and cold gravy then.
hahaha
Was a good weekend actually. Hung out in Dean Lanzante’s garage for most of it.
The Evora, run by Lotus went through three gearboxes, but they got it to the end.
Lanzante’s RedBull car had a few niggles including a wheel bearing, an inner CV joint and the exhaust came a bit loose, but apart from that it was fine.
