Sealing the roof

hey all just a quicky really sealing the roof had it off the other day just to give it a real good clean and polish where u cant get with the roof on…

but the problem started that night when it chucked it down :frowning: came to the car in the morning and the drivers side roof edge on the inside was slightly damp… what do people use when putting the roof back on? i was going to apply a thin layor of silcon grease to stop ingress around the seals but then would that cause a problem?

or is there anyother problems similar to this? i saw about the window dropping but it doesn’t look like it has.

Mine leaks in heavy rain…what can you do lol!

I have heard about people using silicon grease on the seals to good effect.

cheers sean ive messaged u also an enquiry

Use proper silicone greese, nothing else. Other things can rot the seals

cheers shall do that when it dries out sometime… gonna get it in garage with aircon on and then sort it out.

hey all just a quicky major problem with the car still… still leaks :frowning: sealed everything up really well seals all fine but still has water getting in… i park on a slope at home thinking that could be a problem but why?soooo confused :frowning:

Sounds stupid but try loosening the bolts off slightly that hold the roof on, you may have tightened them up too much when replacing it and its causing the seal to break…

ohh ok i shall try that thanks
