Perhaps the subject title is slightly misleading
But, here goes:
Ok, on reassembly of the K series bearing ladder, oil rail and alloy sump is loctite 518 ok to use?
Also, I have just purchased some Farndon con rods. Now, the rods came with 3/8 ARP 2000 bolts but with no torque instructions and no supplied lube
I have rang Farndon and they have told me that I should torque them to 42ft.lb using a smear of engine oil as they do not supply the lube. Now, I understand that ARP bolts should come with lube and different lubes effect preload.
Should I ignore Farndon and buy some of ARP’s moly lube?
Apologies for the numpty questions lately, but it�s my first shot at rebuilding an engine!
