Santa has arrived early

32x 8" of quietness. I’ll post up the full spec when I get a chance

Very nice!!

jesus that wide enough! Love it

Cool!!

Call that a silencer? Yup, that’s a silencer!!

I thougth 24 was going to be the biggest that could physically fit?

It’s “banana” shaped, isn’t it Jim!

Or hot maybe? Any heat shielding required on the clam as the tailpipe looks pretty close :astonished:

The box runs to within 10mm of the hangers on each side.
It’s very much a suck it and see on the distance to the clam and heat conduction. After a 2 1/2 hr drive back yesterday there appeared little heat transfer to the area of clam nearest the pipe, and indeed the pipe wasn’t roasting.
If you want a sporty sounding exhaust, this is not the one for you.
The first thing I noticed was the cabin drone was absent. I haven’t given it the beans as I guess it’s running a bit lean on the new manifold so awaiting word from JSR as to mapping solutions.
The skin of the box is 20G, Jim was asking, and the weight of the box with in and out pipes was 12Kg(several Kg was packing!).Other metal work I believe is 18G.
As promised I’ll post in more detail on a separate thread, but it needs to be pointed out that although the static noise tests are very favourable, it means nought until it’s been on track for a drive by.

Well it’s a great piece of packaging by Tullet, Adam. You need to place the silencer up high to clear the diffuser tunnels and use a tight-radius bend from the Cat area to make it work.
In other words, you’re not catering for the mass-market (such as it is in the Lotus world).
I’ve no idea what they use for packing material but I get Acoustafil to weave ZT-1 to my spec/length and I would have to be convinced I could sell enough 32" long silencers to make that cost worthwhile.

what a great arse…
