S2 Tyres

So here’s a thought -

We all know that the S2 Exige wears it’s rear tyres 3 times quicker than the fronts and the the fronts are knackered even with 3-4mm on due to all the heat cycles etc

Anyone tried balancing this out by using A048 Mediums on the front and A048 LTS on the rear or am I

A) A Genius
B) Talking shite

You’re both… a genius at talking shite

TA

Seems reasonable

and like me most days, just don’t tell anyone

Do you find they still wear unevenly with Mediums on all round? I agree with you on the LTS’s they are a nightmare, with the fronts well out lasting the rears, but I didn’t find the mediums so bad, it was like 1.5 times rather than 4 times.

What are 888’s like in this respect. I haven’t had my S2 long enough to reall figure it all out yet.

front last about 3x the rears if driven sensibly, however lately on dry days I have started to melt the fronts :astonished:

melting tyres is a gooooooood thing!!!

I can melt the fronts no problem but the LTS’s just don’t wear that much in the process :frowning:

I’m taking a set of year old 888’s off mine tomorrow mate and sending them down to John as spares for Spa (one of each). Not sure on miles but Ring (16 laps) and back, Spa 2 days and back and 6 UK TD’s. Fronts are fine, lots of bite and rears are just hitting the wear bars here and there. Take a look.

Yeah but Jonny, you have a “training bra” spec exige. Not like us real men with our 38DD super chargers!!!

 edit to say, it is rather good when it comes to tyres, I just change for Spa every year…LBD occsion
