S2 Servicing

Anyone know how the servicing goes on the S2 Exige? Mines 2 years old this Sept. Just asked the dealer service department and the answer was ‘servicing may go sevice A then B then A or it may go A then A then B, I’m not sure’. Only 200 difference

Blimey, old habits die hard don’t they

Which dealer is that then? I just had my 2 year sevice done for 306 incl vat. I went through the whole a,b,c businees explaining this is not relevent on 'yota cars. The dealer may remain nameless

VLR - Rearrange the letters to make a well known Lotus dealer in the North West. Did the price include parts as well? They quoted 311 for an ‘A’ service including parts, labour and maggies tax. Maybe the service manager was on his holidays and I spoke to the valeter, who by the way does a great job

Yep, mine was done at the very same dealer. Can’t see why an S2 Exige should be any different to the 111R service charge.

My charge was all inclusive (consumables etc) & the service was described as ‘very straight forward’, so no parts required really.

As for the abc bit, some individuals there don’t seem to accept ‘incoming calls’, instead concentrating on politeness & getting on with it. Why don’t they listen

Every time i go (not often), i smile when i see they have me registered as owning an Exige, which i sold over 2 years ago. I’ve lost count the number of times they’ve ‘updated my records’

Maybe they’re upset i bought a replacement elsewhere

A car shampoo & set was included in the 306 though. I didn’t ask for discount to DIY that bit.

Just had my 2 year service carried out by the new dealer up north
Cost 305 inc brake fluid change, car also came back a lot cleaner than when it went in, they even sorted a couple of rattles & Squeeks which i thought came as standard with a lotus.

Excellent hassle Free Service

Just had mine done in last 2 weeks (14K - miles that is!!)414 including consumables, but they reckon new pads & discs on the back (pads maybe, discs a little bit scored but nothing serious) so not really 414. Luckily they just told me the rest when I picked it up (should have phoned me I’d have let them do it). Good news - front tyres still have 4mm tread after 14K (I can’t imagine how)
Hope this helps and just remember the other things they spot outside what they actually tinker with.
