S2 - (maybe S1?) parking sensors

Okay, maybe not the most important of things but for an everyday driver this might be useful…

cool. personally i went for a modified subaru kit that is basically a thin tin-foil type sensor strip that fits on the inside of the rear clam. Completely invisible and no drill holes needed. It very sensitive and has saved my ass on more than a few occasions. The purists will be horified but there we go. B&C supply it for a bout 200 fitted I think.

i had those dealer fit on my exige - but for me a necessity - i have to reverse about 100ft down an alley to park in the garage and that damn supercharger is all i can see!

Couple of squeeky dog toys gaffa taped to the rear clam… Sorted!

You might want to look for a set of Multivex mirrors. They stick to the existing wing mirrors and give very good full rear vision.

I was thinking about these but wasn’t sure if they gave better vision directly behind or just a better wide angle to the sides?

They give a very wide field of view. The drivers side gives me a view that covers as far out as the adjacent lane on the motorway just behind my peripheral vision and as far in as the centre of the rear wing. So as long as something isn’t within the last meter or so directly behind the car you can see it. I am sure someone has taken some pics on Elisetalk. (phew! A lot of conversion yank->blighty in there )

Cheers. I’ll give them a go

Another option is a camera fitted to ther rear of the car and connected to an lcd screen. There are rear view mirrors available on ebay that switch to being an lcd screen when reverse is selected. Ive been considering this as the cameras are tiny and could theoretically be cut into the grille above the rear diffuser giving complete rear vision even with the supercharger looming large in the rear view mirror.
