I currently have a clio 182 and I am thinking of upgrading maybe to an exige next year, so I ideally need to start saving some cash. Just one question I plan to park the Exige in a single garage, will it be a problem getting in and out once that it is inside as I understand access into the car is restricted by the seats and driving position ??
I really dont think it is that bad. My garage leaves little room for manoeuvre when getting out of the car and, after numerous banged shins etc, I found my own way round it, a combination of leaning on the chair with my right arm and hurling myself out. Getting in is easy, just fall!
Thanks for the advice, I think that I am pretty much sold on one. I saw an orange one drive by me the other week and it sounded really nice. Just got to save for the insurance. I have driven a standard elise before but I take it that they drive very differently ??
Re S1 Exige - chap I bought mine off had a garage which had been invaded by ‘the earache’ so was full of cack like freezers etc…
He just got out and pushed it in! only very light motors. I can push mine out of my garage when sat inside! got loads of room just tried it when I could not be arsed to get back out! (so I didnt fill the garage with fumes - in case you were wondering why)
I’ve got a double garage, but I always push the car out because I can’t be arsed to get in the car, drive it out the garage, jump out of the car and close the garage door, and finally get back in again. What a kerfuffle
I have already got the carpet on the wall so I am half way there. I was also thinking about pushing it in & out, so that is always an alternative.
The Elise that I drove was standard it was not the 111R, so I would expect a slight difference. Performance wise I take that the exige is a rocket ship ??

I don’t believe the 111R has any more downforce, so it’d just feel a bit quicker.
As the Exige doesn’t have huge gobs of torque, I never really think it feels too rocket ship like, more like a missle; agile and able to sustain a very high speed.
