Lovely looking car. That colourway is one of my favourites, along with the red.

Thanks for the help with the images Andy - greatly appreciated

Thommo - cheers !

Sprint look lovely in blue/white

Beautiful car Paul, good luck with the sale.

That’s a lovely looking car!!

Sorry for the message 2 years after the last one but I’m searching informations on Sprint Exige and from the press release, the car number 1982 never existed because it was the year of the death of Colin Chapman.

“To celebrate the start of Lotus production at Hethel in 1967, just 40 cars will be built for the UK market and each one will have an individually numbered chassis year build plate covering 1967 to 2007, except for 1982, the year of Colin Chapman’s untimely and tragic death.”

Anybody have an explanation about this?

Yes, it was the year ACBC died, so Lotus chose not to number a sprint with that year  :unamused:

What other explanation are you wanting?

Hum, just have a look to the number of the car on the first post :astonished:

I’ve seen the 1982 Sprint in the flesh so definitely exists even if it shouldn’t
