2005 55 Reg LOTUS EXIGE 240 Cup supercharged

Lotus Exige 240 CUP by the motor sport division of Lotus Cars Ltd. It�s based on the 2006 Model Year Exige. First registered December 05. This car was over �46k new!

It�s in immaculate condition and covered approx 12000 miles.

It�s like an exige S with better brakes, suspension, engine, etc, here�s the full spec:

May include private plate in sale.

Exterior

  • Chrome Orange Lifestyle paint (extra).
  • Front driving lamps.
  • LED rear lights.
  • Yokohama A048 LTS spec tyres, rear tyres are new.
  • Y-type 8-spoke Black spider alloy wheels (these are the original cup �high power� silver wheels powder coated black).

Interior

  • Black probax alcantara sports seats with harness slots.
  • Harness bar, T45 rollover hoop and A-frame with harness mounts.
  • Black alcantara interior.
  • 4 point seat belt harnesses.
  • Air conditioning.
  • Blaupunkt stereo Radio/CD.
  • Interior black carpet set.
  • Sound insulation (extra).
  • Cat 1 Anti theft system with alarm and immobiliser.
  • Tracker - installed by a previous owner, but not currently activated.

Engine

  • 1800cc, 6-speed manual. supercharged (243 bhp).
  • The Roots-type Eaton M62 supercharger.
  • Four high capacity injectors.
  • Uprated sports-type clutch plate and heavy duty clutch cover.
  • A torque-sensing type limited slip differential.
  • Lotus switchable traction control system.
  • Cam change between the low-speed cam and the high-speed cam at around 4000 - rpm giving a smooth and linear surge of power from 4000 rpm all the way to the maximum 8300 rpm.
  • Lotus Stage 1 stainless steel sports exhaust.
  • ABS.
  • Accusump (engine oil accumulator unit which gives an oil reservoir backup for extreme track use ensuring that, under these conditions, the engine oil pressure remains constant).
  • Twin oil coolers.

Brakes

  • Cross-drilled and ventilated discs.
  • Upgraded sports brake pads set.
  • High grade silicon brake fluid.
  • Stainless steel braided brake hoses.

Suspension

  • Ohlins springs and two-way adjustable dampers (which have 22 compression and 60 rebound settings) and ride height adjustment.
  • Adjustable front anti-roll bar (five settings).
  • A double shear track control arm brace.

Full Service History.

Taxed until June 2009.

Car is fully SwissVax (clay/prepped/waxed).

It�s HPI clear and as far as I know it�s not been in an accident and I don�t have any reason to suspect it has been.

Very, very reluctant reason for sale? Why? You must have seen Grand Designs on TV, well, we are getting an extension to our house that has escalated in cost so need the cash!

Perfect spec for track these things!

I’d have one if I was buying again, now i’ve realised I need a sump and Ohlins!

Now reduced to �26,500.

Although had lots of interest, most people want to part-ex which unfortunately I’m not looking for, so Im now going to put it in Top Marques and Autotrader as well.

Deposit now taken…the guy should pick it up in a couple of weeks.

Now sold. Dont know if the new owner is registered on here, but looks like its going to a good home. Sad to see it go, just will have to wait for a year or so before raising the cash again to get another one.

I’m pleased we did the deal. Great drive back and kids have fallen in love with it.

Glad the kids liked it. It does sound great when in the high rev range…Im sure you will be passing most people on the track. Sorry I didnt have more time to chat about Spa, but Im sure it will be better next time you go :wink:

The car sounds and looks awsome; better than the GT3 sometimes.Had a great time at Spa; warm and sunny for 2 days. Looking forward to next years trips. Hope all goes well with the house extension
