Really struggling with a solution for this without removing the front clam.
Is there a way?

If you just mean the hoses downstream of the master cylinder, I changed my S1 brake hoses to braided with no real snags. Had to remove the front radiator valance to get at the unions however.

Pete
The S2 has ABS gubbins in the way, so it’s a clam off job
ABS!!! Wots that for!!!
Awww Bull S…t!
Another reason to have an S1 eh Pesky!!! (DUCK!!)
I was told by Wayne at Sinclairs early S2 Exiges can be changed but very hard, it is quicker to remove the clam. Later cars only way is to take off the clam
Okay, thanks guys. This is what I thought. A few people claim they’ve done it but it always turns out to be a non ABS Elise or an S1.
Time to whip the clam off.
Cheers
I put my clam back on after changing said hoses only to take it back off to respray those many many stone chips…time to get some protection!
Wasn’t too bad
