Very cool, I have to agree with Sean, the S-tronic gearbox in my A3 is awesome, a very clever indeed, I’m so glad I bought it, all the benefits of an auto without the downsides. It even blips the throttle on downshifts and it’s a diesel :wink:

it will sound odd doing that in the snow though…

The fan. The fan is just to low in flow rate. This is the most effective upgrade. I have been through this in depth and with exigers in Thailand and Sing. The ac works it just cannot get enough into the cabin to combat the heat soak. Ducatiman’s work (and that of Uldis) covers this. Higher flow rate fan, sealing with dense foam under the central ‘fin/arch’ of the front clam so the rad air goes up and out and not into the fan box/front cavity, and combating the heatsoak, makes it work.

There is a guy in Seloc selling uprated fan units for VX220 which are much higher flow rate. The fan controls need a little modding but it will fit. If I was you, getting this would be my action. It will make a world of difference. It was hard to believe in Singapore how cool the cabin was!
