Really sorry to hear that the old girl has gone but I think in the book of excuses, using the liberated money to fund a season racing is pretty acceptable - we all know you will be back anyway.
Keep us up to date with where you are racing and I am sure we will come along and cheer and it has to be worth doing a MESC race or two next year for a laugh.
Also bring the MR2 to some trackdays next year and I for one will be happy to chuck you the keys so you can remind yourself what you are missing
