Hi Chaps - Lazy post.
Does anyone know of a remote thermostat kit for an S1 with Aircon?
1 - no I dont want to junk the aircon even though it dont work
2 - No I’m not putting in a Honda/Audi… yet

i did this modification. there is the landrover kit i fitted which works together with the AC unit.

Mine has the eliseparts remote stat fitted (previous owner) and although their website says it doesn’t fit Geary tells me that’s because it’s a very tight fit and ‘may’ not fit. No idea how it effects the air con though as it’s never worked for me!

Oh well OK so it’s not the eliseparts one, cheap skate! Still it fits and probably does the job.
Now where to start with the old girl. All in all she’s OK, but still eating money like a Lotus only knows how! Seriously no major problems. She has a couple of extra holes in her, one from some kind person in a car park and one from a Walshy day where the wheel hit the wheel arch, lol. Not that I’m bothered as I’m getting her resprayed soon! Once I’ve had the work done I’ll post some pics for you to look at
Nice one!, the PRT stat is supposed to work better than the eliseparts one anyway as explained in the link above. Get some piccies up now so I can see a before and after shot with her war wounds.
