Seriously considering selling my car, so thought I’d see if there’s any interest.
S1 Exige in white.
Link-Up Honda Conversion
37k miles (not that that really makes a difference as everything that counts has been replaced anyway!)
Pro-Alloy Radiator
Nitron single way adjustable suspension (newly refurbed, mint)
305 AP disks front, 290 AP disks rear - PF01 pads
4 point Custom Cage.
Eliseparts ARB
JDM cams, over the top manifold.
wishbones/joints/bushes all refurbed/renewed/powdercoated when I got the car.
Motorsport Carbon wing
Lots more…
Car is well known on here and supremely capable - and used well on track by myself over the last few years. It is currently SORN as I use it on track only, but would just need a horn to be roadworthy I think.

So you havent really done anything to it since I sold it then.
Ok - so will open my silly brain and see what the masses think…
My car is a genuine Exige - and as such (even though I bastardised/improved it by putting a Honda in) it’s worth decent money and probably always will be.
The mods I want to do next would involve a 6 point cage, bulkhead removal, light roof etc, etc… which really does bastardise it and probably removes the value from the car. When I start looking at doing that sort of work on mine, it’s probably not a
lot more work to start from scratch with a CAT D elise or something.
My thoughts were to start again, make something pretty similar, but more track focused and build it myself (where possible at least!). I keep looking at build threads like DaveOz and AndyD and Seans originally and quite like the idea behind building it up from nothing.
Its a fair question I reckon. If I had my time over, I would of sold my Exige and gone the Cat D elise route.
Could you put a VHPD back in yours and keep your Honda engine? Mind you I bet there isnt much difference in cost of doing that or just simply getting another Honda for your new car.
Sell it, I say, that is certainly the sensible option.

I have thought of putting a VHPD back in too Sean - and it would certainly be cheaper for me in the long run…perhaps thats the way to go…
But aren’t VHPD’s by the time you have everything you need and a gearbox etc more money than a Honda??
I was offered a complete JDM Honda with gearbox for 1700 the other day. Surely your not going to put a VHPD back in your car for anywhere near that money??
I also thought about putting a VHPD back in mine … but by the time you figure out out the real cost to do that and potential issues I decided it was too much hassle for the return.
I’d love to get hold of a CAT D S2 and build a GT3 type thing … id go for it and sell the Exige if it were me …
However having done the orange car … its amazes me how much
a) small things cost
b) how much time is wasted trying to get parts that are not really in stock, are wrong, dont work etc etc so build time takes double what you plan.
