Being it’s lockdown and now raining I’ve been trapped into having a tidy up, which has just led me to sitting in a pile of my stuff that I’ve promised my wife I’ll put somewhere for about 5 years. One obsession has been S1 Exige (and Motorsport Sport Elise as the forebearer) memorabilia…
I’ve been a real fan boy since 2000 and have really enjoyed looking out for S1 Exige content over the years. And think I’ve got every period article and magazine review now (I didn’t hook out the EVO magazine ones for picture as I forgot )
I have more recently collected the models (not many to find … they just tend to be hard to find) I’m just missing as I’m aware the Grey Spark 1/43 model and 3 of the hot wheels cars… have my eyes open for them …
And my favourite the press and marketing prints. I have quite a collection in different formats and sizes for the sport/motorsport Elise, very few seem to exist for the actual exige itself outside the 2 actual brochures and the Chrome Orange prints I have.
I have some posters too, a3 and a1 and a nice graphic A4 print.
Anyway I thought I’d share a few pictures. Really interested to see what others have I don’t especially if it’s S1 Exige rather than sport Elise. I think I’m missing more than one print of the original chrome orange promo pictures and I’d like to collect the autobytle motorsport Elise race series promo prints/postcards from back in the day. I had a couple many years ago but lost them over the years and not seen them since… anyway hope of interest. I enjoyed looking through the bits and pieces earlier.
Think of me if you have anything I don’t and want the space of a few £’s… will keep a geek very happy
A great collection. I have a fair bit in a box which I have been meaning to sort and categorise. Not so many models, only one, in fact, but a few mags etc.
You missed more than 2 hotwheels:
As you mentionned, the easter egg edition, the BRG speedmachine and you can add the mistery model (yellow with black and green flames), the red with white stripes, you have 2 versions of BRG mc donalds, one build in vietnam and other one in china (position of the push under is different) and the 2 rarest version (on top of the picture), the gold with 5 spokes wheels variation and the yellow mcdonalds (from australia).
It’s the press pictures I like finding most but I’m not sure how many variants for the exige were produced I o my have a handful that aren’t actually motorsport Elise.
If you need space for those Models you know where I am
