Thought I’d throw a quick guide together for how I tackled new S1 roof seals on my Exige.

I mounted the side seals onto three individual pieces of folded strip of nimbus sheet, approx 30mm x 20mm. They’re rivited every 100mm into the roof lower moulding. I used three separate pieces so I could follow the curved contour of the roof.

The side seals require some cutting and gluing at the front and rear to avoid clashing with the door seals, but it’s relatively straight forward. By mounting them on the nimbus, I’m able to manipulate them so they give a good seal against the glass.

I recommend you order a meter extra, so you can have some trial and error attempts!

For the front seal, I used a cheap standard D shaped piece of trim, bonded to the side seals in the corners.

The finished product is totally adjustable and easy to remove and replace in the future if it’s damaged.

I really hope this helps someone! I’ve tried various seals and options before I finally found a method that works and looks OEM.

Cheers, Andy

Great work, thanks for sharing

Thanks Andy,

My car is back together now, with all gaps aligned properly and the seal looks to fit perfectly.
