S1 Exige on pistonheads

Yep, probably needs engine/suspension refresh etc sooner rather than later, so looking at an overall cost of 25K to 26K for most folk, who would not carry out the necessary work themselves. Ideally, also an upgrade to Emerald ECU plus verniers (Jenvies too?), & not forgetting sports style seats & harnesses, would pitch the car at around the 30K mark.

Honda it

It’ll still “need” suspension/seats upgrade, to bring it up to top spec, so you’d be looking at 32K to 33K.

yes so the deal is not as good as it seems…but if black is original then is a rare color althogh although not as good as orange…

Engine rebuilt at 22k

however at least then it’s all done exactly how the new owner wants

At 60K it’ll be ready for another “refresh” sooner rather than later - unfortunately that’s the nature of the VHPD.

Does it have air con :astonished:

Officially, or unofficially?

sometime i wish my car got an air con as it is really hot in summer, certainly not a problem now…
exige+black color= needs air con …lol

It’s turning ino a real Statler and Waldorf thread!

Unless someone unearthens particular issues following a viewing or test drive then IMHO there’s nothing wrong with running it as is and fix on fail.

Engine may have many miles left on it and suspension could be fine for years.

I’m thinking of starting the Luddite wing of the forum to try and protect as many S1s as possible from “progressive” thinking

Officially, or unofficially?[/quote]

From this photo, I’m thinking not.

Ageism ???

Has this been bought yet it seems to have gone quiet on the subject,he has not even called me back yet. After this the S1 boys cars will be going up in value again it all helps your future values, and to think when they were new Lotus struggled selling them.

Still on Pistonheads as of 1220hrs Sunday 15th, and priced at 19k , so I don’t know if it’s cheap/ good buy or not ???

Having changed it from 16k to 19k and maybe seen some of he online comments, he’s probably wondering if/how he can bump the price up even more…

No longer listed…

Phil said the bloke has decided to keep it.

i bet he will put it in the market in a month or so for 28k

That would be good
