S1 Exige for sale looks nice

This looks to be a nice price from a main dealer given its spec and mileage…

Agreed (although BK are an independent, rather than a main dealer)

Ah I stand corrected - dealer then rather than main dealer.

I get confused given there are so many daawn saaaarf, we are spoilt for choice with the one option up here…

It isn’t their car and simply being sold by them on behalf of the seller, still an excellent price though if the description is correct although it’s probably a 177!

As I (& many others) found to our cost in 2001, the 190 upgrade is a waste of money. Much better to do the job properly with an Emerald ECU/verniers/remote thermostat, & achieve a realistic 200bhp.

Tim!!!

Jules,

As Rob rightly say’s…as I and many others found to our cost

FWIW I tried a well run in 177 car for a couple of weeks. Barely any different, but the exhaust on that one was fooked anyway.

An emerald swap at the time meant losing the air con, & we all know what a loss that would be…

Any how, yours will have lost far more power due to all those internal friction losses, what with a rusty seized engine etc

And we would have said goodbye to the warranty too…

Is it possible that that car is Graphite Grey? Doesn’t shine silver like the Titanium does in the bright sunlight those pics were taken in.

Looks similar condition/mileage to what mine was when I bought it

Agreed, good call George

David

Well a few of the late cars were done in Graphite Grey, which is more of a “Gunmetal” than the silver/grey/bronze of the Titanium. I think IDG’s car is like this?

Being a 51-plater, it’d be a candidate I suppose.

Having said that, Titanium’s one of those colours that can look almost silver or dark grey depending on the lights/cameras/angles etc

But yeah… 177 or 190, it’s still a nice looking car

Also, does it have air con? Looking at the vents on the dash?

Or am i a being a ‘noob’

Yep, spot on

Phew! Thought it was my friggin car for a mo! Same colour (more in that in a mo), seats, stereo, s/wheel, a/c, etc

It’s gunmetal, an S2 Elise colour that replaced Titanium. Only about 4 late S1s were delivered in it.
