S1 Exige - 14995

Lotus Exige S1 190bhp
68,000 Miles
12 Months MOT
6 Months TAX

Titanium Silver with Red Alcantara Interior.
It is standard engine wise apart from Eliseparts De-cat (original Cat included). It has had 4 new Grooved brake discs and front EBC Yellowstuff R pads fitted 300 miles ago, New front ball joint and wheel bearing along with refreshed gear linkage for the MOT.

The car has been off the road for the past 4 months and has had the top end rebuilt by Dan Jude (originally of JPS). It also received a new Payen Head Gasket, Head Bolts, Piper cambelt, new tensioner, New Water Pumo, 4 new NGK spark plugs and new oils.(all receipts to prove the work done.) The engine has been rebuilt at some point but I do not have the paperwork to back this up, although I am trying to source it just now.

Body work wise it is in good condition with the usual stone chips. There is however a 1" crack on the lower NSF splitter and a 2" scrape next to the Lotus Badge on the front.
The Immaculate wheels are fitted with Toyo T1R tyres - with plenty of life left on them.
The engine hardly uses any oil (Mobil Motorsport 15w/50) and pulls very very well.
The interior is showing signs of wear on the drivers sill pad but that is to be expected at 68k miles.
It comes with the original Sony CD player and 2 sets of Keys/Fuel Cap keys.

I am not in any rush to sell the car as it has been the best car I have ever owned, the lack of use (4k miles in 8 months) makes it hard to justify keeping it.

The car will come with a Certificate of Conformity if needed for Export.

The plate will need to be put on retantion and the original put on the car before sale. (currently in process)

Isn’t it your bro’s mota?

Yes?

Priced accordingly I’d say Pete, bodywork wise its not mint but it is mechanically sound.

Still doesnt stop stupid offers coming in though.

Having the same problem with my M3 now…fooking anchors…taken it off Piston Heads. Got scammed phone and email loads of aggresive low offers, on saying no loads of hardcore abuse eveyday and night…UNTIL some back 2 front comes on all persuasive and all offering a few grand more!

m3’s are cheap now though, my brother brought one about 6 months ago 52 plate, sat nav, 19" csl wheels, 6 pot breaks, smg, 60k fhs etc etc for 15700 it was back up a couple of weeks ago and got only 13200. Selling cars in this climate is hard so you have to expect silly offers. My brother just sold his 06 plate version 9 (harkeye shape) 2.5 impreza sti for 10500 and he found it hard to get that and if you look round at the prices it seems a bargain but the market seems to think its the going rate. Good look selling the Exige anyway it seems priced to sell to me

In the present climate, seems reasonable to me. Exiges, are after all, in a niche market, & the S1 more so than the S2.

Anyway, good luck if you really want to sell it.

With all the negative recession s…t talk about at the moment Rob, seems like we should start the recovery HERE by talking the ‘niche’ S1 market UP!

Soooo… its worth at least 16,995.

Look at it this way :

With interest rates so low , it’s not worth keeping too much in the bank !!!

So, book a track day or two!

As I’ve no intention of either buying or selling, I’ve no hangups about the market price of our cars, it is irrelevent (unless I write the bloody thing off!).

If I were brave enough to add up what mine has cost me over 8 years (excluding running costs/wear & tear items/trackdays), I’d still consider it money very well spent - makes me smile everytime I drive it, & it has been the key to meeting so many like minded peeps, who I would not have known otherwise, & with whom I have enjoyed sharing many, many subsequent driving experiences/trips here & abroad - priceless!

I wasn’t including you, you ozzie job stealer

Hi Dad … quick lesson in Business from your Son …

While the Ltd. company’s balance sheets are healthy… it would be a foolish Md. to allow funds to dwindle in the current times …

As a director , I have a duty to keep our ageing population in nappies and the like

Pictures taken this morning-

I was going to remove the front splitter, side scoops and roof vent before the sale but I have decided to include them.

I have also scanned all invoices for any seriously interested parties.

Would love this, but the tax man has taken away all my spare cash
Looks like my dream of a race car for next year has gone as well

So much interest from Europe, suppose these cars are 30% cheaper for them due to the euro.
