While at the Oulton Park Gold Cup on Saturday I got talking to a guy who has a cover for sale. It’s part of a hoard of Lotus bits and pieces, all bodywork, I think, including original S1 clams. He and his brother run a bodyshop which does lots of high-end work. (He’s currently working on a Dino). He and brother are winding down the business towards retirement and are having a clear-out.
He asked what I thought the cover might be worth and I ventured £500-600. I think that might be rather an underestimate. I don’t think it’s brand new and unused but it might suit someone.
