Anyone know if there are black nuts available, or just the chrome ones from Eliseparts?
Cheers

I quite like the look of the silver nuts and black wheels!

Anyone know the correct specification for the Elise nuts (size, diameter, camber etc)? Just want to ensure what I order will be correct. Also what torque should be used (80-85nM same as the Rimstocks)?
Are you getting some new wheels, Steve?

Well given that the service manual is written for the Elise perhaps the question should be the other way round!

My handbook says Exige. Are you sure you don’t drive an Elise Ian? Elise and Exige have same torque but will that apply to any other types of wheels. Say hypothetically Speedlines
Can’t find black wheel nuts anywhere though Looks like Chrome ones are the only choice with a radius seat.

Firstly It’s much the best car ever made thank you very much.
Secondly, if the torque is governed by the studs then I’d say it’d be the same. If the torque is the wheels then I’d say David at Speedline is your man. Anybody know which rules?

Told yer!

Tight but not too tight

As long as the wheelnuts fit in the seats of the wheel properly then the torque will be 80Nm in line with the needs of the stud.
Steve,
hypothecially speaking, … does David have any Speedlines in stock ?
Yes, he may do. We’ve just received a set and when Fiona ordered he mentioned having one or two sets left (we took one).
However, I do have some paint bubbling on both 16" wheels and will be contacting him Monday. Has anyone else had this?

Yep, only mine looked like a crappy cast. Only on the 16s. Dave knocked 10% off the fronts after I raised it with him, as they were the last full set available at the time (Sept last year).
Mine are still in the box, I’ll go and take a look, but from memory my old set back in 2001 were the same… I think it’s a case of TADTS (though Alex’s look a bit excessive)
I’ve just had a look at my 16" (phnar) and they look like SteveJ’s… as mentioned I think it’s a problem with the mould.
Those Italians obviously didn’t clean the moulds out properly - tsch!
Well perhaps they should have, considering the price of the wheels and the claims about the finish quality.
But they are round Steve and thats a definate advantage

Quite. I must confess I was a little disappointed. Money off made it go away though!
Even with the quite bad pitting you see on my wheels, it’s hard to spot when they’re on the car.
