would all so say the car has had front and back clams painted, The fron you can tell from not having the black stickers replaced in the inlets and the rear has the wrong colour “Lotus” and “Exige” stickers on, they should be charcoal, don’t think it would have left the factory with these on. Maybe nothing to worry about, just a thought.

Woah… good eye, think I might be better off staying away from this one… Ive booked a test drive in a Silver S1 at Barry Ely Lotus with 9k miles and a blue S1 with ac and has just had an engine rebuild 30k miles at Lotus. So i’ll see how that goes.
Frankly by now most of them have had the clams resprayed due to stone chipping. When I came over to look for one all those that I found had clams repainted. ALL of the 5 I saw both low milage and a bit higher milage. They do have their age now.

Totally agree, a respray should not be seen as a negative thing. Many of the most fastidious owners will have had near-annual resprays of parts of their cars just to keep the stone chipping at bay.
