I’ve removed the A/C from my Exige S1, so I have lots of spare parts.

Yup, it is now 
but it used to be 35-37 in July.
Exige S1 with A/C was more like a joke for me.
It works just as effectively removed or installed.
Actually, that is not accurate. Mine work for about 5 mins when the car is not moving.
As far as I understand A/C can’t be used with 190bhp upgrade kit.
After 190 kit, I’ve tried to use A/C when I got stuck in traffic jams, and the only thing A/C did was cutting off the engine. Another way was to hold the gas pedal to up revs to 1500 - 2000 which makes the car to get very hot.
So Yes - it’s rubbish and I’m happy to rip it away from my car with benefits in losing 20 or even more kgs from the car.
