A bloody long day out with the Russmeister yesterday at Emerald (left Bolton at 5.30am Saturday, arrived back at 12.15 am Sunday). No doubt Russ will wish to add more, but big thanks to Dave Walker, Carl & Richard for their hospitality, & expertise in working round the odd hiccup!Pictures can be seen in Gallery at http://www.bookatrack.com [This message has been edited by Pesky (edited 21 July 2002).]
what was done - need to know right now!!!
Mike, it was a visit to set up my new engine properly. I had been running on a Steve Butts map, but it obviously needed tweaking properly. A long day and drive, but well worth it - the car feels totally different now, with torque all over the range, and better tickover, fuel economy and driveabilty. Thanks to Dad for the company, navigation and co-driving. quote:Originally posted by RussT:the car feels totally different now, with torque all over the range, and better tickover, fuel economy and driveabilty. That is quite an understatement! Instant throttle response, & no hesitation in the power delivery - bloody brilliant [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image]
Come on then, give us the power/torque figures @ rpm values. [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/smile.gif[/image]
well done guys…it is a long trip, I know what I’m talking about [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image] [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image] [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image]it is all true what Mr Pesky says. the instant response is not from this world… [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image] [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image] [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image] [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image] [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image]later,Bruno

oi, Ally, how is it going? when do get your racer then? have you fixed the Exige nose?cheers,Bruno
Good, and how is the Sultan of Bruno? The conversion still going OK with no hiccups? Seemed very impressive when I saw it and that was even before you had it mapped. Much better/smoother, pick-up from low revs.My awaited car is gonna be another few weeks I’m told (again). Minor alterations had to be made to pass the SVA. Not long to winter now so it’ll be just in time for me to park it in the garage (which I don’t have) and look at it. [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/frown.gif[/image] Hmmmmm. The Exige is looking like new again after almost tearing the front splitter off. Great job at a very reasonable price by Currie Motors in Stirling (thanks George). How’s the steam trains going? Don’t tell me - CHOO, CHOO! [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image]Cheers.
hmmm…another delay…bugger, eh? glad that your exige is back to normal…well, apart from the increased oil consumption, ok. as mentioned, it is backfiring but that does come from the twin pipe back box which will be swapped with an oval one.talking about steam trains…Renate and me are going to Rumania in September. we will do some mountain walking and train spotting…he-he…I will drive me dream car no.1 there which is a Daccia Super Nova…I know that you are jealous now… [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image] [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image] [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image] [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image]later,Bruno
